In the battle to attain, maintain and show dominance in the streaming world, Paramount + has plans to take the streaming industry by storm.
Paramount Plus intends to release over 1000 movie titles into the online streaming service industry this week. This new batch of titles for movies and shows is quite versatile with movies cutting across all the film genres available.
The ViacomCBS owned streamer will debut ‘Infinite’ which is a Paramount owned sci-fi thriller that features Mark Wahlberg and Chiwetel Ejiofor and is directed by Antoine Fuqua on Thursday, June 10 on Paramount Plus. Alongside this debut will be over 1000 movies. The company has disclosed that it will have more than 2,500 movie titles stocked up by the time the 2021 summer ends.
In addition to this boss move, Paramount Plus also intends to spice things up even more by adding animated kids’ movies such as “The Patrol” the same day it premieres in theatres. The streamer will also line up “A Quiet Place 2” for its fans now that it has been released in theatres.
ViacomCBS has a new inexpensive monthly subscription plan of $4.99/ month with ads for Paramount Plus which will be available beginning Monday, June 7. This comes as a move to discontinue CBS all access with ads which goes for $5.99/month.
This package, also known as Paramount Plus Essential Plan will feature live sports including the Europa League, the UEFA Champions League, and CBS-Broadcast NFL games However, the less expensive streamer Paramount Plus does not allow access to local CBS channels.
Paramount Plus Essential plan will also include on-demand streaming services giving access to existing and upcoming movies and shows including shows from Media corporations such as BET, Comedy Central, Paramount Pictures, MTV, CBS, Nickelodeon, Smithsonian Channel, and CBSN.
However, there is a no ads Paramount Plus Premium package that includes access to local stations and goes for $9.99/month. However, the existing subscribers of the outgoing CBS All Access can choose to keep the service going at that price or cancel the service. The Paramount Plus Premium plan besides offering no ads feature will support 4K streaming, Dolby Vision, HDR, and mobile download feature for offline watching and an extra line up of sports. The local stations’ access feature includes more than 200 channels.
The streamer from ViacomCBS decided to revise its pay plans from their deal with Epix, which is a premium network from MGM (soon to be Amazon’s) to offer variety and versatility for Paramount Plus.
